Nereus Shipping S.A. was honoured during the AMVER Awards 2023 ceremony, organised by The International Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Piraeus, in recognition of the company’s longstanding commitment to safety at sea and support of the international AMVER rescue system.
The award was received on behalf of Nereus Shipping S.A. by Capt. Konstantinos Kanellopoulos, Managing Director of the company, during the official ceremony attended by representatives of the Greek and international maritime community.
The AMVER (Automated Mutual-Assistance Vessel Rescue System) Awards recognise vessels and shipping companies that actively participate in the worldwide voluntary reporting system operated by the United States Coast Guard. Through the system, participating vessels contribute to enhancing global search and rescue coordination and safeguarding human life at sea.

The AMVER Awards 2023 ceremony took place in Athens in December 2023, organised by The International Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Piraeus in cooperation with the United States Coast Guard and the U.S. Embassy in Greece.
